Darla has handled the full spectrum of criminal cases, including the most serious assault and capital murder charges. She has extensive experience handling forensic experts and complex technical issues such as DNA science, fingerprint evidence, and hair and fiber trace analysis.
Darla was an Honor Graduate of the University of Texas School of Law in 1986. Before law school, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in the prestigious Plan II Honors program from the University of Texas at Austin.
With almost 40 years of experience, Attorney Linda Icenhauer-Ramirez has tried every level of criminal case, from misdemeanors to death penalty cases, and has triumphed at every level of the criminal justice system. Linda is a highly regarded leader in the areas of criminal trials and appeals. She brings invaluable expertise to her role of mentoring and supervising the firm’s Pretrial Team.
Linda graduated from The University of Texas School of Law in 1978. Prior to entering private practice, she was a research and drafting attorney for the state’s highest criminal court, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.

Attorney Jackie Wood has more than 20 years of experience as a trial lawyer and shares the role of lead trial counsel for the firm with Attorney Darla Davis. Jackie’s experience includes 12 years as one of the most effective prosecutors with the Travis County District Attorney’s Office.
After retiring to private practice, Jackie continued her commitment to excellence in the arena of criminal defense and began developing expertise in strangulation allegations. She has earned the distinction of being the first recognized forensic expert on the subject in Texas whose knowledge is based on legitimate science.
Paul Quinzi is an excellent criminal defense attorney and a true master in the art of clearing arrest records. Paul is perfectly suited for his role of overseeing the firm’s expunction team. Melissa de la Garza
Attorney Melissa de la Garza is an experienced criminal defense attorney with unparalleled expertise in jail release and bond related issues in Travis County. Melissa has been with the firm since 2014 and served as the firm’s lead counsel in 2017.
Melissa was born and raised in Dallas and is a 2006 graduate of the St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. Before law school, Melissa earned a Bachelor of Arts from Southern Methodist University in 2001.

Rachel earned a Master of Social Work from Hunter College in New York City in 2014 and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Rights and Latin American/Iberian Studies from Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York, in 2008.
